Adamo is an AR software that takes the music you're listening to on your preferred music library and creates different visualizers you can pick from to visualize your music around you.
Adamo means to fall in love with (latin).
Built for the Hololens, Adamo is an AR software that you can sign into using your preferred music library and it creates colourful, dynamic, and unique visualizers to visualize the music around you.
Think about the last time you danced or sang to your music. How much more immersed in the music would you be if your entire environment harmonized to it?
Science confirms that when we dance, our brain releases endorphins. These endorphins trigger neurotransmitters that create a feeling of comfort, relaxation, fun, and power. A study in Australia in 2017 confirmed that people who are actively engaged with music, dancing, and attending events like concerts and musicals reported higher levels of wellbeing. This concept brings these types of events to you.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic, lots of concerts and musical events have been canceled. Many people have been isolated at home and levels of depression and anxiety have been climbing. Inspired by the windows media player, this concept represents a newer and improved visualizer that engages users to experience music in a new way that can improve well-being.
The first sketch shows a person interacting with the 3D visuals that are moving to the beat of the music.
The second sketch represents the duality of work vs play. With Adamo, users can get a break from their office job to enjoy themselves in their music.
We created a user flow to understand how the Adamo experience would work. This flow shows the sequence of elements appearing on the Hololens interface, the types of elements (buttons or carousels), and the different gestures and interactions needed from the user to move forward in the flow.
A prototype was designed with Figma to demonstrate the section of picking a visualizer and seeing your music visualized around you.
This prototype was further explored in unity to create a final visualizer that showcases Adamo.
The chosen branding is meant to convey shapes representing the visualizer experience of Adamo. The colours are vibrant, paired with black and white to make them stand out.
The final video was created with Unity and After Effects.
